Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device to remember information about your visit. CredPing also uses similar browser storage technologies, including localStorage and sessionStorage, which allow the application to store data locally on your device. These technologies are essential for features like keeping you signed in and enabling offline functionality in our progressive web application.

2. How We Use Cookies

The following table lists all cookies and browser storage items that CredPing uses. We believe in transparency and want you to know exactly what is stored on your device.

3. Essential Cookies

All cookies and storage items listed above are strictly necessary for CredPing to function. They enable core capabilities such as authentication (keeping you signed in), security (protecting the OAuth flow), and offline support (queuing actions when you lose connectivity). These essential cookies cannot be disabled without breaking the application. If you clear these cookies, you will be signed out and will need to log in again.

4. Analytics and Tracking

CredPing does not currently use any analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking cookies. We do not use services like Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking technologies that follow your activity across websites. If we introduce analytics in the future, we will update this policy, notify users by email, and obtain consent where required by applicable Canadian privacy legislation.

5. Managing Cookies

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that clearing CredPing’s authentication cookies will sign you out of the application. Here are links to cookie management instructions for major browsers:

6. Third-Party Services

When you make a payment through CredPing, our payment processor Stripe may set its own cookies during the checkout process. These cookies are used for payment security, fraud prevention, and to remember your payment preferences. Stripe’s use of cookies is governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy. CredPing does not control these cookies and they are not listed in the table above.

7. Changes to This Policy

We will update this Cookie Policy if our use of cookies or similar technologies changes. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email. We encourage you to review this page periodically for the latest information on our cookie practices.
